Abstract: | Digital image analysis and SPOT XS satellite data were used to monitor vegetation in the border region between Enontekiö, Finland, and Kautokeino, Norway municipalities. Supervised classification on red wavelength channel was done using training areas for maximum likelihood classifier to produce seven spectral land cover classes. Greatest difference was lack of Cladina lichens on Finnish side of border, where average grazing pressure was greater. |
