Record #128829:
Snow cover and climate / Judah Cohen.
Title: | Snow cover and climate / Judah Cohen. |
Author(s): | Cohen, Judah. |
Date: | 1994. |
In: | Weather. (1994.), Vol. 49(5) (1994) |
Abstract: | High albedo of snow cover causes reflection of large amount of solar radiation that would normally be absorbed at Earth's surface, heating ground and atmosphere. Theorizes that diabatic heating of atmosphere has major influence on climate; therefore, snow may be considered to participate in climatic fluctuations. |
Notes: | Weather. Vol. 49(5) :150-1156 (1994). |
