Record #128644:
Permafrost distribution and rock glaciers in the Livigno area (northern Italy) / M. Guglielmin, A. Lozej, C. Tellini.
Title: | Permafrost distribution and rock glaciers in the Livigno area (northern Italy) / M. Guglielmin, A. Lozej, C. Tellini. |
Author(s): | Guglielmin, M. Lozej, A. Tellini, C. |
Date: | 1994. |
In: | Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. (1994.), Vol. 5(1) (1994) |
Abstract: | Investigations in 1991-92 at sites where occurrence of permafrost had been indicated previously through application of other techniques. Geoelectrical surveys confirmed and characterized these occurrences. As well as in rock glaciers, permafrost was present in some gelifluction lobes. Resistivity ranged from 18 to 560 Ω m depth from 8 to 21.1 m, and active layer from 2 to 4.7 m in those bodies considered active on basis of morphological features. |
Notes: | Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. Vol. 5(1) :25-36 (1994). |
Keywords: | 551.34 -- Geocryology. Frozen ground. 551.345.1 -- Permafrost, surveys. 551.343.4 -- Rock glaciers. E8 -- Glaciology: frost action and permafrost. (45) -- Italy. (234.3) -- Alps. |
