Record #128534:

Implications of iceberg dynamics for iceberg stability estimation / R.C. Bailey.

Title: Implications of iceberg dynamics for iceberg stability estimation / R.C. Bailey.
Author(s): Bailey, R. C.
Date: 1994.
In: Cold Regions Science and Technology. (1994.), Vol. 22(2) (1994)
Abstract: Methods of estimating when iceberg is likely to become unstable and roll over are potentially useful, e.g. in iceberg towing. Can be done using surveys of underwater geometry, but this is not fast enough for working conditions. Real-time monitoring of dynamic response of icebergs to ocean-wave excitation can be used as basis of three alternative stability assessment methods.
