| Abstract: | Examines distinctive assemblage of ostracode species from sedimentary rocks of uppermost Sagavanirktok formation on Manning Point and Barter Island and from lower part of Gubik formation, both of which crop out on eastern coastal plain of Alaskan North Slope. Documents obstracode assemblages of each unit to reconstruct paleoenvironments and to estimate bottom-water temperatures of late Pliocene high-sea-level events of arctic Alaska. |
