| Abstract: | Report observes Saami association in small community in Troms, northern Norway. Foundation for re-vitalisation of Saami culture is studied on basis of historical sources dealing with demography and ethnic religious organisations, such as Laestadianism. Different ethnic groups are examined: Saami, Norwegians and Finns. One aim is to show effect of political mobilisation of 1980s on existing social structure and strategies of various groups to accept their identities. |
