Abstract: | Examines changes in circulation of winter polar vortex after three recent volcanic eruptions. Regional features of changes in tropospheric temperatures due to volcanic eruptions can be explained by changes in propagation of stationary waves associated with diole-type anomalies in zonal-mean zonal winds. |
