| Abstract: | Presents magnetic observations from Macquarie Island; from main expedition base at Commonwealth Bay, Adelie Land; and from sledge journeys east and west of base as well as south towards Magnetic Pole and from western base in Queen Mary Land. Location of South Magnetic Pole is discussed in conjunction with results from Shackleton's 1907-09 Nimrod Antarctic expedition. Gives tables of declination and horizontal and vertical force. |
