Record #127812:

Late Quaternary stable isotopic stratigraphy of Hole 910A, Yermak Plateau, Arctic Ocean: relations with Svalbard/Barents Sea ice sheet history / Benjamin P. Flower.

Title: Late Quaternary stable isotopic stratigraphy of Hole 910A, Yermak Plateau, Arctic Ocean: relations with Svalbard/Barents Sea ice sheet history / Benjamin P. Flower.
Author(s): Flower, Benjamin P.
Date: 1993.
In: Ocean Drilling Program. Proceedings. Scientific Results. (1993.), Vol. 151(26) (1993)
Abstract: Hole at 552 m water depth provides early opportunity for high resolution studies of Quaternary Arctic Ocean climates. Oxygen and carbon isotopic data based on Neogloboquadrina pachyderma from top 24.5 m provide both stratigraphic age control and history of latter Quaternary surface water environments. Isotope values can be explained by 1) episodic grounding of marine based ice sheet and/or 2) coarser grained glacial sedimentation. Major change in Svalbard/Barents Sea ice sheet is suggest by oxygen isotopic stratigraphy near Stage 17/16 boundary (670 ka)
