Record #126934:

Recent results of Pleistocene periglacial research in the Netherlands / Jef Vandenberghe.

Title: Recent results of Pleistocene periglacial research in the Netherlands / Jef Vandenberghe.
Author(s): Vandenberghe, Jef.
Date: 1993.
Abstract: Periglacial research conducted by Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in last decade has been concerned with reconstruction of Pleistocene periglacial processes and environments, and has focused on two themes: derivation of palaeoclimatic conditions from periglacial relict features, and determination of periglacial processes which have shaped morphology of presently temperate zones during Pleistocene. Results of this research have been presented as field examples at International Symposium on Periglacial Environments in Relation to Climatic Change, held in Maastricht--Amsterdam, 3-6 May 1991.
Notes:

Offprint: Geologie en Mijnbouw. Vol. 72(2) :103-106.

Keywords: 551.34 -- Geocryology. Frozen ground.
551.343 -- Periglacial processes. Thermokarst.
551.583.3 -- Climatic changes, Quaternary.
