Record #126920:

Stopping criteria for discrete event simulations / Albert T. Wang.

Title: Stopping criteria for discrete event simulations / Albert T. Wang.
Author(s): Wang, Albert T.
Date: 1993.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Mechanical Engineers
In: OMAE 1993. Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering. Volume IV. Arctic/Polar technology. (1993.),
Abstract: Discrete event simulation is useful method for computing ice loads; one objective is to obtain rational estimates for rare forces, such as 100- or 1000-year forces. At present there are no rational stopping criteria available for simulation of discrete events; this paper establishes easy-to-use version, based on rigorous probabilistic analyses.
