Record #126906:

Air containing propeller stream and its application in ice clearance / S.L. Wang, C.C. Hsiung, L.Y. Shih.

Title: Air containing propeller stream and its application in ice clearance / S.L. Wang, C.C. Hsiung, L.Y. Shih.
Author(s): Wang, S. L.
Hsiung, C. C.
Shih, L. Y.
Date: 1993.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Mechanical Engineers
In: OMAE 1993. Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering. Volume IV. Arctic/Polar technology. (1993.),
Abstract: Järvi (1990) showed that propeller stream containing bubbles of air could be used for channel ice clearance ahead of vessel. Here, outflow of propeller stream under influence of mixed air bubbles is modelled in order to study interaction between bubble flow and ice fragments in channel behind ship.
