| Abstract: | Analyzes some philosophical aspects of revival of national consciousness among small peoples in relation to recent political changes in Russia. Discusses conceptions of dominating nations (i.e. Russians) concerning native peoples, in particular idea that they had "civilising" effect and enabled these peoples to catch up. Discusses also suicide among small peoples and blames collectivisation for their dying out and degradation of their moral consciousness. |
