THorskur og vedur / Einar Sveinbjörnsson.

Title: THorskur og vedur / Einar Sveinbjörnsson.
Translated title: Cod and weather.
Author(s): Sveinbjörnsson, Einar.
Date: 1993.
Language: Icelandic.
In: Aegir. (1993.), Vol. 86(10) (1993)
Abstract: Connection between good cod years and weather in spawning time have been recognised by all concerned in northern Atlantic. Conditions off SW Iceland are vital, especially in spring of previous year. Temperature of water layers where cod spawn and where larvae feed, depending in turn on productivity of their food supply, define conditions of growth. Fresh water outflow contributes to these.
