Record #126719:

Spatial and temporal patterns of the Fennoscandian seismicity - an exercise in explosion monitoring / Matti Tarvainen, Eystein S. Husebye.

Title: Spatial and temporal patterns of the Fennoscandian seismicity - an exercise in explosion monitoring / Matti Tarvainen, Eystein S. Husebye.
Author(s): Tarvainen, Matti.
Husebye, Eystein S.
Date: 1993.
In: Geophysica. (1993.), Vol. 29(1-2) (1993)
Abstract: Fennoscandian stations and arrays detect daily numerous seismic events at local and regional distances, almost all from explosions. These add to daily analyst work. Article reports on efforts to automate detection, location and classification of seismic recordings from local mining and explosions. Knowledge base using comprehensive Helsinki Bulletin for 1991 shows consistent diurnal, weekly and spatial patterns for most events included in bulletin.
