Record #126561:

SO₂ uptake on ice spheres: liquid nature of the ice--air interface / Martha H. Conklin, Roger C. Bales.

Title: SO₂ uptake on ice spheres: liquid nature of the ice--air interface / Martha H. Conklin, Roger C. Bales.
Author(s): Conklin, Martha H.
Bales, Roger C.
Date: 1993.
In: Journal of Geophysical Research. (1993.), Vol. 98(D9) (1993)
Abstract: Aim was to estimate equivalent amount of liquid water present at ice--air interface from information on uptake of SO₂ onto ice. Amount of SO₂ accumulated on ice surface was measured by melting ice and allowing SO₃²⁻ to oxidize SO₄²⁻ and then measuring latter on ion chromatograph. Lack of good thermodynamic data for temperatures below 0°C is main limitation. Error in Figure 1: y axis should read SO₂, μmol.
