Abstract: Describes some results of distribution of concentration and thickness of southern-hemisphere sea ice, and of seasonal cycle of its extent, from multiyear integration from dynamic--thermodynamic sea-ice model coupled with "21 wave 9 level" Melbourne University general circulation model. Experiment indicates importance of surface albedo and snow cover in sea-ice distribution.
