| Abstract: | Examines data for sea ice and Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) for 19 years from 1973 to 1991. Procedure was to calculate correlations with latitude of sea-ice edge, averaged over three longitudinal domains, in each calendar month with smoothed SOI values in all months in same year and also previous and subsequent years. Cross-correlations are presented as contour plots. |
