| Abstract: | Attempts to correlate raised marine beaches and glacial episodes in west Spitsbergen for Middle and Late Quaternary. Model of predominating Barents Sea shelf ice sheet during Saalian and of co-existing distinct local ice domes during Vistulian is postulated on basis of varying land uplift. Discusses effects of possible climatic change. |
