Record #126419:

Periglacial period and Pleistocene natural environment of western mountains of Beijing / Xudong Guo.

Title: Periglacial period and Pleistocene natural environment of western mountains of Beijing / Xudong Guo.
Author(s): Guo, Xudong.
Date: 1993.
Publisher: Wushan, Guangzhou: South China University of Technology Press
In: Permafrost. Sixth International Conference. Proceedings (Vol. 2), July 5-9, 1993, Beijing China. (1993.),
Abstract: Several fossil periglacial features found in western mountains near Beijing enable Pleistocene to be divided into six epochs in this area. Surface temperature was 12 to 15°C lower than at present, and depth of permafrost reached from 3 to 20 m deeper than at present. Southern boundary extended to 38°N.
