Abstract: Profile of Koyuk TV/AM broadcasting by radio since 1971 and by TV since 1973. First station owned and operated by native Americans, and still provides only local broadcast service to much of southwest Alaska. Article examines history, programming philosophy, and funding sources of KYUK and contrasts its mode of operation with those of more conventional stations elsewhere.
