Record #126256:

Hydrodynamic blowouts in North Dakota / John P. Bluemle.

Title: Hydrodynamic blowouts in North Dakota / John P. Bluemle.
Author(s): Bluemle, John P.
Date: 1993.
Publisher: Regina, Saskatchewan: University of Regina, Canadian Plains Research Center
In: Glaciotectonics and mapping glacial deposits. Proceedings of the INQUA Commission on Formation and Properties of Glacial Deposits. (1993.),
Abstract: Groundwater under pressure may exit forcibly to surface through small openings in ground, forming unusual landforms. Such landforms are found in North Dakota and formed when area was glaciated; their nature depended on force and duration of flow and upon situation at land surface, whether land was bare, ice-covered, or flooded. Includes description of blowouts associated with glaciotectonic processes.
