Abstract: Two systems are in use. One, more detailed and based mainly on field work with support from air-photo interpretation and resulting in maps at scale of 1:50,000 is used in southern Sweden, whereas survey mapping in central and northern parts is based on air-photo interpretation supplemented by thin net of field observations, resulting in maps at scales of 1:50,000 or 1:100,000.
