Pleistocene mapping at the Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey / Lee Clayton, John W. Attig.

Title: Pleistocene mapping at the Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey / Lee Clayton, John W. Attig.
Author(s): Clayton, Lee.
Attig, John W.
Date: 1993.
Publisher: Regina, Saskatchewan: University of Regina, Canadian Plains Research Center
In: Glaciotectonics and mapping glacial deposits. Proceedings of the INQUA Commission on Formation and Properties of Glacial Deposits. (1993.),
Abstract: Over past 10 years, this project has yielded 13 county reports with maps at scale of 1:100,000. Some details are given of actual map production and cartography. Discussion distinguishes between field units and map units: field unit consists of material or morphology observed in field, whereas map unit is conceptual representation of one or more field units, and occurs on map rather than in field.
