Freezing characteristics of water flow in a horizontal cooled tube with the separated region / S. Fukusako, M. Yamada, A. Horibe, H. Kawabe.
Title: | Freezing characteristics of water flow in a horizontal cooled tube with the separated region / S. Fukusako, M. Yamada, A. Horibe, H. Kawabe. |
Author(s): | Fukusako, S. Yamada, M. Horibe, A. Kawabe, H. |
Date: | 1993. |
In: | CRREL Special Report. (1993.), Vol. 93-22 (1993) |
Abstract: | Experimental study was conducted to determine effect of flow separation on freezing characteristics of turbulent water tube flow. Three sizes of tube were used, and varying Reynolds number/cooling temperature ratios. Measurements showed that flow separation exerted marked influence on local ice-formation characteristics and on transient pressure-loss behaviour. |
