Record #126178:

Ocean heat and seasonal sea ice thickness in the Southern Ocean / Douglas G. Martinson.

Title: Ocean heat and seasonal sea ice thickness in the Southern Ocean / Douglas G. Martinson.
Author(s): Martinson, Douglas G.
Date: 1993.
Publisher: Berlin: Springer
In: Ice in the climate system. (1993.),
Abstract: Purpose is to estimate, through examination of representative vertical distributions of ocean temperature and salinity in Weddell Sea region, magnitude of various components of ocean sensible heat flux and minimum fraction of ocean sensible heat flux relative to net air--sea heat flux. Latter allows estimate of partitioning between latent and sensible heat flux that is independent of model assumptions. Considers effect on thinning of ice.
Notes:

In: Ice in the climate system / W. Richard Peltier, ed.
