| Abstract: | Attempts to devise models for estimating surface temperature and accumulation in order to overcome lack of field data that are required for studying current mass balance of ice sheets and for calibrating and validating models of polar atmosphere which are needed to simulate evolution of ice sheets in previous climatic conditions. Neither of two models presented provide satisfactory reconstructions of surface climate of Antarctica. |
