Record #126078:

A reevaluation of the evidence for a Younger Dryas climatic reversal in the tropical Andes / Jan T. Heine.

Title: A reevaluation of the evidence for a Younger Dryas climatic reversal in the tropical Andes / Jan T. Heine.
Author(s): Heine, Jan T.
Date: 1993.
In: Quaternary Science Reviews. (1993.), Vol. 12(9) (1993)
Abstract: Evidence for Younger Dryas cooling event in this region is reviewed. New evidence was obtained from field studies in November 1991, when numerous moraines, glacial grooves on exposed bedrock, and glacial-lake deposits were examined. To be correlated with Younger Dryas event, cooling must have occurred simultaneously with European event, or with explainable time lag, and with same abrupt onset and termination. However magnitude may be different.
