Record #126012:

Evolution of permafrost zone of north Eurasia in Late Cenozoic and neotectonic movements / Igor D. Danilov, Vladislav E. Roujanskiy.

Title: Evolution of permafrost zone of north Eurasia in Late Cenozoic and neotectonic movements / Igor D. Danilov, Vladislav E. Roujanskiy.
Author(s): Danilov, Igor D.
Roujanskiy, Vladislav E.
Date: 1993.
Publisher: Wushan, Guangzhou: South China University of Technology Press
In: Permafrost. Sixth International Conference. Proceedings (Vol. 1), July 5-9, 1993, Beijing China. (1993.),
Abstract: Refers in particular to northern part of west Siberia. Roles of three types of neotectonic movement in evolution of permafrost zone are discussed: large-scale undulations which were responsible for general change of structure of Arctic regions between Palaeogene and Neogene periods, and are related to appearance of permafrost zone; warping movements, which resulted in rhythmical structure of sediments and formation of terrace topography; and small-scale local movements, which represent landform patterns.
Notes:
