Abstract: | Model was developed for calculating mass--energy exchange and glacial runoff, based on results of two years' field investigations in central Tyan'-Shan, Russia. Main glacioclimatic factors controlling current state of glaciation in this system were identified and quantified. Effect of glacial system on global hydrological cycle and share of total atmospheric moisture input to drainage system were calculated. Interaction of change in global atmospheric circulation and state of glaciation was found. Components of mass balance of glacial system for last 300 years were also reconstructed. |
