Record #125983:

The formation of the texture and properties of floodplain deposits of the major rivers of northern Yakutia / V.G. Zaykanov.

Title: The formation of the texture and properties of floodplain deposits of the major rivers of northern Yakutia / V.G. Zaykanov.
Author(s): Zaykanov, V. G.
Date: 1993.
In: Polar Geography and Geology. (1993.), Vol. 17(3) (1993)
Abstract: Four categories of floodplain identified. Examines sedimentary facies associated with each category. Cryogenic texture and nature of ice wedges and associated polygons in each category are then discussed. This leads to schematic model of dynamics of polygonal ice-wedge structures in floodplain sediments of northern rivers.
