Abstract: | Saami people of Norway have been through revolutionary cultural change in post-war era. Relationship between Saami society and Norwegian nation-state has been successfully redefined, but individuals do experience some stress when trying to adapt their Saami identity to context of modernity. Examples are choice of "best" clothing for a party, using a computer or working as hair- dresser or nurse. |
