Influence of porous characteristic of material on displacement during freezing / Jiacheng Wang, Guodong Cheng.

Title: Influence of porous characteristic of material on displacement during freezing / Jiacheng Wang, Guodong Cheng.
Author(s): Wang, Jiacheng.
Cheng, Guodong.
Date: 1993.
Publisher: Wushan, Guangzhou: South China University of Technology Press
In: Permafrost. Sixth International Conference. Proceedings (Vol. 1), July 5-9, 1993, Beijing China. (1993.),
Abstract: Suggests that displacement of various materials (brick, ceramics, zeolite, gneiss, slate, tuff, sandstone, glass balls, all saturated in water overnight) during freezing is dependent on degree of water migration and ice segregation, which is related to porous characteristics. Controlled freezing tests were carried out in order to ascertain this.
