Record #125810:

A numerical simulation of coastal retreat and permafrost conditions, Mackenzie delta region, Canada / Baolai Wang.

Title: A numerical simulation of coastal retreat and permafrost conditions, Mackenzie delta region, Canada / Baolai Wang.
Author(s): Wang, Baolai.
Date: 1993.
Publisher: Wushan, Guangzhou: South China University of Technology Press
In: Permafrost. Sixth International Conference. Proceedings (Vol. 1), July 5-9, 1993, Beijing China. (1993.),
Abstract: Numerical model, applicable to littoral zone of delta region, is developed and used to simulate ground thermal regime of nearshore permafrost under influence of continuous coastal retreat. Model predicts preservation of this permafrost; it will vary in thickness, depending on distance offshore, and its temperature will be 3 to 5°C warmer than adjacent terrestrial permafrost.
Notes:
