| Abstract: | Dimensions and character of polygons and underlying wedge structures were investigated in three permafrost regions: Advantdalen and Linnédalen in Spitsbergen and Sør Rondane, Antarctica. Results show that polygon size can be indicative of existence of ice wedge if depth to permafrost table and temperature of permafrost are known. |
