Record #125752:

Examples of geomorphological changes in glacially sculptured high Arctic permafrost areas from Svalbard and the Queen Elizabeth Islands, Canada / Lorenz King.

Title: Examples of geomorphological changes in glacially sculptured high Arctic permafrost areas from Svalbard and the Queen Elizabeth Islands, Canada / Lorenz King.
Author(s): King, Lorenz.
Date: 1993.
Publisher: Wushan, Guangzhou: South China University of Technology Press
In: Permafrost. Sixth International Conference. Proceedings (Vol. 1), July 5-9, 1993, Beijing China. (1993.),
Abstract: Both areas are in continuous permafrost zone. Focuses on push moraines (ridges formed from sediments pushed or shoved along by advancing glacier) and thermo-erosion features; long-term changes during formation of these are evaluated by means of photogrammetrical and geodetical techniques covering time span up to 28 years. Concentrates on geomorphological comparison, and climatological/ecological background data for understanding of involved geomorphological processes is presented where necessary.
Notes:

In: Permafrost. Sixth International Conference. Proceedings (Vol. 1), July 5-9, 1993, Beijing China / International Conference on Permafrost.
