Record #125616:

The interaction between an ice sheet and its atmospheric boundary layer / Alison Hall, Keith Weston.

Title: The interaction between an ice sheet and its atmospheric boundary layer / Alison Hall, Keith Weston.
Author(s): Hall, Alison.
Weston, Keith.
Date: 1993.
In: Journal of Glaciology. (1993.), Vol. 39(133) (1993)
Abstract: Uses slab model of atmospheric boundary layer to investigate importance of latter for coupling between climate and ice sheet. Model gives reasonable agreement with observations over Antarctica and is used to examine effect of ice-sheet shape on boundary layer. Importance of entrainment on bringing heat to surface is particularly significant when ice profile becomes steeper.
