Record #125484:

Asynchronous coupling of ice sheet and atmospheric forcing models / D. Pollard, S.L. Thompson, Stephen H. Schneider.

Title: Asynchronous coupling of ice sheet and atmospheric forcing models / D. Pollard, S.L. Thompson, Stephen H. Schneider.
Author(s): Pollard, D.
Thompson, S. L.
Schneider, Stephen H.
Date: 1993.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1993.), Vol. 74(43, supplement) (1993)
Abstract: Abstract. Coupling schemes of this type are examined for long-term ice-age simulations. Explains how these schemes are run, and evaluates several by comparing results with those from fully synchronized runs. Best overall asynchronous scheme is one in which forcing during each asynchronous period is linearly extrapolated from its means in previous two synchronous periods.
Notes:

Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. Vol. 74(43, supplement) :358 (1993).

Keywords: 551.336 -- Ice ages.
551.58 -- Climatology.
