Measurement and modeling of chemical fluxes to the Greenland ice sheet / M.H. Bergin, J.L. Jaffrezo, J.E. Dibb.
Title: | Measurement and modeling of chemical fluxes to the Greenland ice sheet / M.H. Bergin, J.L. Jaffrezo, J.E. Dibb. |
Author(s): | Bergin, M. H. Jaffrezo, J. L. Dibb, J. E. |
Date: | 1993. |
In: | Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1993.), Vol. 74(43, supplement) (1993) |
Abstract: | Abstract. Fresh snow and fog samples were collected and analyzed for major anions and cations. Surrogate surfaces were used to determine dry deposition of SO₄²⁻. Contribution from each deposition process to summer SO₄²⁻ inventory was estimated to be about 50% for snowfall, 30% for fog, and 20% for dry deposition. Experiments also included measurement of several parameters necessary for modelling deposition processes. |
Notes: | Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. Vol. 74(43, supplement) :89 (1993). |
Keywords: | 551.578.46 -- Snow cover and snow patches. 54 -- Chemistry. 543.064 -- Trace analysis. E10 -- Glaciology: snow and avalanches. (*38) -- Greenland. |
