Record #125313:

Glacier-generated ground motions at Bomi, southeastern Tibet / Junpei Akamatsu, Yuki Morinaga, Takashi Yamanouchi, Wenjing Zhang.

Title: Glacier-generated ground motions at Bomi, southeastern Tibet / Junpei Akamatsu, Yuki Morinaga, Takashi Yamanouchi, Wenjing Zhang.
Author(s): Akamatsu, Junpei.
Morinaga, Yuki.
Yamanouchi, Takashi.
Zhang, Wenjing.
Date: 1993.
In: National Institute of Polar Research. Proceedings of the NIPR Symposium on Antarctic Geosciences. (1993.), Vol. 6 (1993)
Abstract: Icequakes and continuous vibrations monitored from July to November 1992. Peak frequencies were 7 to 10 Hz, from which thickness of glaciers was estimated to be 25 to 36 m. Such observations may be used to predict catastrophic glacier movements.
