| Abstract: | Abstract. Greenland Ice Sheet Project 2 (GISP2) completed recovery of ice core to bedrock on 1 July 1993. Stable isotope analysis of core down to 2251 m and preliminary results for core from 2251 to 3040.33 m reveal very dynamic and variable climate. ¹⁸O profile at GISP2 and nearby Greenland Ice-core Project (GRIP) isotope record agree closely down to 2750 m (80 ka BP). Over half time span covered by core is preserved in bottom 10 m of core, where deformation makes interpretation and comparison difficult. |
