| Abstract: | Describes series of model tank tests carried out in June 1989. Five segments were separated from hull of model; two thicknesses of level ice were used. For each segment, resistance force was measured simultaneously with resistance, which was measured for whole model as usual. Vertical and transverse forces were measured also. Results show segmented approach to be applicable in small-scale tests. |
