Record #125123:

A numerical ice load model / George Comfort, A.P.S. Selvadurai, Razek Abdelnour, M.C. Au.

Title: A numerical ice load model / George Comfort, A.P.S. Selvadurai, Razek Abdelnour, M.C. Au.
Author(s): Comfort, George.
Selvadurai, A. P. S.
Abdelnour, Razek.
Au, M. C.
Date: [1993]
Publisher: Edmonton, Alberta: University of Alberta, Department of Civil Engineering
In: IAHR 92; 11th International Symposium on Ice, Banff, Alberta, Canada, June 15-19, 1992. Proceedings. ([1993]), Vol.1.
Abstract: Deals with case where thick sheet of ice is driven steadily past large vertical structure. Attempted to produce model that was simple enough to be tractable while still capturing essential elements of interaction. Model was developed to conduct time-stepped dynamic analysis of interaction, using finite element method. Demonstrated by conducting two-dimensional plane strain analysis.
