Record #125101:

Dynamic of vertical exchanges through first year sea ice during the melt period / E.J.-J. Hudier, R.G. Ingram.

Title: Dynamic of vertical exchanges through first year sea ice during the melt period / E.J.-J. Hudier, R.G. Ingram.
Author(s): Hudier, E. J. -J.
Ingram, R. G.
Date: 1993.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1993.), Vol. 74(43, supplement) (1993)
Abstract: Abstract. Compares effects of modification of sea-water characteristics and increase in spring of air temperatures and solar irradiance on first-year sea ice. Field results presented from ice 40 cm, 2 m and 1.4 m thick. Discusses production of "melt water" inside ice by melting of walls of brine channels and on underside of ice, and exchanges between upper layer of water, ice, and snow layer.
Notes:
