Record #125052:
Comparison of various deposition signals in the GRIP and GISP2 ice cores / J.C. Moore, Kendrick C. Taylor, H.B. Clausen, J.P. Stefensen, C.U. Hammer.
Title: | Comparison of various deposition signals in the GRIP and GISP2 ice cores / J.C. Moore, Kendrick C. Taylor, H.B. Clausen, J.P. Stefensen, C.U. Hammer. |
Author(s): | Moore, J. C. Taylor, Kendrick C. Clausen, H. B. Stefensen, J. P. Hammer, C. U. |
Date: | 1993. |
In: | Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1993.), Vol. 74(43, supplement) (1993) |
Abstract: | Abstract. Electrical records used to find several typs of feature common to both cores. These features were usually peaks in electrical conductivity caused by deposition of acids produced by large volcanic eruptions, but other signals were also identified in both cores. |
Notes: | Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. Vol. 74(43, supplement) :84 (1993). |
Keywords: | 551.32 -- Glaciology. 551.324 -- Land ice. 551.324.24 -- Ice sheets and caps. 537.311 -- Ice, electrical conductivity. 001.89 -- Research programmes: Greenland Ice-core Project (GRIP). 001.89 -- Research programmes: Greenland Ice Sheet Project 2 (GISP2). E5 -- Glaciology: land ice. (*38) -- Greenland. |
