Record #124826:

Finnish ERS-1 Baltic sea ice experiment in winter 1992 / M. Leppäranta, and 7 others.

Title: Finnish ERS-1 Baltic sea ice experiment in winter 1992 / M. Leppäranta, and 7 others.
Author(s): Leppäranta, M.
Date: 1993.
Publisher: Paris: European Space Agency
In: Proceedings of the First ERS-1 Symposium; Space at the Service of our Environment; 4-6 November 1992, Cannes, France. (1993.), Vol.1.
Abstract: Use of ERS-1 synthetic aperture radar was examined for geophysical validation and real time ice monitoring. Experimental work took place in January--March 1992 as part of Programme for International Polar Oceans Research (PIPOR/Finland); mild winter restricted planned activities. First results show that ERS-1 SAR is excellent complement to existing ice-mapping routine.
