Abstract: Abstract. Polycrystalline ice columns were produced from continuously stirred solutions of sulphuric acid. Slices of ice from top. middle and end of each column were analyzed and distribution coefficient (index of solute uptake by ice as function of solute concentration in melt) was computed.
