Abstract: World Conservation Monitoring Centre, and Faculty of Geography of Moscow State University (MSU) are collaborating to develop Geographic Information System (GIS) approach to monitoring Arctic pollution. As part of this programme, monitoring techniques based on satellite images will be developed jointly by MSU and Scott Polar Research Institute. Report describes potential areas of study.
