Abstract: Utilizes measurements of aerosol extinction from Stratospheric Aerosol and Gas Experiment (SAGE II) and Stratospheric Aerosol Measurement (SAM II) satellite instruments to identify and track movement of Mt Pinatubo and Cerro Hudson aerosol layers over Antarctic from August to November 1991. Movement of aerosols provides excellent opportunity to observe transport processes associated with Antarctic vortex.
