Abstract: Work described is part of test programme initiated to study aspects of ice loading on multifaceted conical structures (see K.R. Croasdale and D.B. Muggeridge, p.475-486). 1:50 model of prototype Beaufort Sea structure used, conical in shape but with six facets, sloping collar and vertical neck on top. Global loads and moments were measured on cone for several ice-load conditions, including level ice and ridges.
